Summary
Practice Description
Hi! Thank you for visiting my page. I am so glad that you are taking an important step towards your goals. My name is Dr. Lei (pronounced /lay/) Wang (/wong/) and my pronouns are she/her/她. I am originally from Taipei, Taiwan. I received my M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington. I am a Licensed Psychologist and currently provide teletherapy to clients within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I have over 9 years of experience working with clients to overcome most presenting issues (i.e., anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions).
I specialize in short-term therapy, career counseling, working with university/college population (students, staff, and faculty), and individuals coming from historically marginalized communities (i.e., students of color/BIPOC, international/immigrant students, LGBTQIA+). I provide bilingual therapy in English and Mandarin Chinese.
I take a strengths-based, multicultural, and client-centered approach to therapy. I value collaborating with the client to determine goals and the direction of therapy. I honor my clients’ diverse backgrounds and experiences. I provide tools, such as using CBT and mindfulness techniques, so that clients can feel more confident and thrive.
