Summary

Practice Description
I work with teens and adults who are navigating various challenges in their lives, such as healing from difficult experiences, navigating family and relationship dynamics, setting boundaries, communicating effectively, managing overthinking, keeping up with high expectations, navigating oppressive systems, and finding their voice in their personal and professional lives. Many of the individuals I work with have historically marginalized identities and experiences related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and immigration and refugee backgrounds. As a result, we explore intergenerational trauma and resilience, historical traumas, cultural differences, generational gaps, and other aspects that shape your experiences and perspectives. We identify how these factors and impacts show up currently, and how they are (or are not) serving you in your present life.

My approach is collaborative, providing a safe and respectful space for you to be your authentic self. I prioritize trauma-informed and culturally-responsive methods to tailor therapy in ways that best fit you. I am trained in body-based approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Brainspotting, which have been helpful for individuals who struggle to connect with their emotions and physical sensations, and may feel more comfortable with thinking (rather than feeling).
