Summary
Practice Description
My approach is collaborative and integrative, rooted in psychodynamic theory and drawing on CBT & DBT perspectives. I am committed to creating a nonjudgmental, culturally-sensitive, empathic environment, as well as using levity, to help you cope and make meaning, gain insight into underlying patterns, find solutions, and access your strengths and potential. If you feel stuck repeating the same patterns, unsure as to why you feel anxious, depressed, or unsatisfied, therapy can help us uncover some of the agency and authority we do have - allowing us to understand how our past experiences might be alive in the present, and how we might make different choices for our present and future. I believe that a supportive therapeutic relationship that helps you feel safe to truly examine yourself can foster immense growth. I have particular experience and interest in working with people with bicultural identities, expats, immigrants and 1st generation backgrounds, multigenerational trauma, interpersonal trauma, life transitions, and relational difficulties.
I have experience in various treatment and assessment-based outpatient and inpatient settings in NYC, NJ, and London (UK). I am also certified in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD through UPenn's CTSA, and remain active in clinical research.
